Top 10 SnowRunner best trucks of 2021

In this top 10 SnowRunner best trucks of 2021 video, I list some of my favourites and why as we drive past the end of a rather strange year.

2021 will soon be a distant blob in the rear-view mirror. To be honest, good bloody riddance. With many lives still affected by the pandemic, it is fair to say that there have been more brutal ups and downs than Imandra.

As for the year in gaming, controversies such as overpriced Halo: Infinite items, Forza Horizon 5 online woes and yet more scalpers scalping probably did not stop many of us from enjoying trucking in SnowRunner.

Yes, the game that made 2020 less of a chore kept the wheels on in 2021. Especially as developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Home released the Year 2 Pass, comprised to date of Season 5: Build & Dispatch and Season 6: Haul & Hustle and with two more phases promised.

Admittedly, we have not seen too much variety in SnowRunner in the last 12 months – particularly where graphical assets are concerned. However the arrival of new trucks, new maps and new challenges has mostly outweighed the old bugs and old annoyances.

We did also get improvements to crossplay, a Nintendo Switch version and a lovely photo mode, but sadly nothing more has been said about where that next-gen SnowRunner versions is. Fingers crossed it is sooner rather than later.

Anyway, this video is about ten of the best trucks in SnowRunner that I loved using in 2021 and why. So if you are looking for trucking inspiration or simply want to watch a British idiot prattle on, well, you are in the right place.

As usual, a big thank you to all of you for supporting the channel. I am now close to 40,000 subscribers, which is madder than a bag of spiders. Maybe I will get to that 100,000 YouTube milestone after all. I sincerely hope you get where you want to go in 2022.

Feel free to buy some merch, send over a donation or whatever you can using the links in the description. It all goes towards helping me make more videos and finish secret projects I will be revealing when the quality is good enough. No, I have not baked a cake like this one.

Or you can just like and subscribe – I will be handing out hearts in the comments because Christmas cheer! Now it is time for my top 10 SnowRunner best trucks of 2021 extravaganza.

1) SnowRunner best trucks: RNG MPV

This year the Rng3r Group, with a 3, has really done itself proud. And while it has made the absolutely unforgivable mistake of prioritising mods for Farm Simulator 22, one of my best trucks this year was the RNG MPV.

Military trucks make sense in SnowRunner’s harsh terrain, but the RNG MPV – available as a 4×4 or a beefier 6×6 if you subscribe to its Patreon, manages to avoid being unrealistic. The model is also extremely detailed, making driving in the cockpit view suitably pleasing.

2) Berliet T100 / Type S-100

Now as many of you will know I am a big fan of the big Berliet T100, which came to console as the Type S-100 to avoid legal issues. Not only is it one of the biggest chunkiest mods SnowRunner has ever known, it is one of the most complete and original.

Honestly, you would assume by its ginormous wheels that it is a blunt weapon. And yet it offers its own unique and rewarding driving challenges where driver skill is required.

Not so subtle is its overpowered six-slot cargo addon. But then if the repetition and burnout of lugging a particular object is getting to you there is no shame in using it. No matter what anyone says.

3) RNG TX Armoured Truck

Another truck from the RNG crew, “restecp” (Ali G reference), this time I am talking about the RNG TX Armoured Truck. Despite the fact the developers broke the awesome bridge trailer addon, which is actually a trailer, this was and still is one of SnowRunner’s most original and amusing mods.

Want to make jumps? No problem. How about using it to reach places you should not? Absolutely. Parking on your garage? Why of course, dearest viewer.

The large TX truck that can piggyback the bridge trailer, meanwhile, gives you a pleasing rugged military vibe. Bonus points for the flexible antennae, camouflage paintjobs and yet another well-balanced trucking experience.

4) Project 20-67

Up next: Rock crawling can be really satisfying in SnowRunner and one of the best trucks for it is the Project 20-67. It looks great, drives brilliantly and is just a really satisfying and complete mod for those who enjoy off-road exploration. It makes scouts competitive – maybe too competitive.

Depending on the addons you use, it can be overpowered. But even so, it makes SnowRunner especially enjoyable. Slap it in a low gear, cruise over giant pebbles and bask in the brilliance of pick-up trucking magic.

5) WS 714WM

And now we come to the dainty, barely noticeable WS 714WM. A variation of the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer, the 714WM is the longest of long bois and can fit tyres so large it could make a monster truck blush.

Do so and you have one of SnowRunner’s most ridiculous mods. A true powerhouse capable of doing anything and everything – sometimes at the same time, thanks to its half-and-half rear addon design. For when I do not want to faff about this is the truck I use.

6) RNG WL500 Wheel Loader

Speaking of faffing, remember the Cat TH357 telehandler? Well, the Rng3r Group has made a beefier, more ridiculous alternative that lets you pick up vehicles, logs and whatever else you can think of.

Currently in early development, the RNG WL500 Wheel Loader has a way to go before we can all drive it. But based on how it looks and operates, I think it will be worth the wait.

7) Titanium

And now we come to the Titanium, another SnowRunner best trucks candidate if you ask me and certainly one of the most memorable in 2021. If only because it reminds me of the Colin the Caterpillar cake and I love cake.

Nah, it’s also because of the fact it seemingly never ends. That makes it a unique driving experience – particularly when roads become twisty and hills become, erm, hilly. As far as I can tell, the Titanium was formerly known as the Maz 7907. Or maybe I dreamt it.

8) Azov 73210

Oh look, A Tribe Called Cars recommending the Azov 73210 in a SnowRunner best trucks round-up. How original! And yet I have no regrets because time and time again I will at least think about using this truck for almost all tasks. It is in my top three and that was without its flashy Active Suspension added in more recent times.

Yes, the nose likes to dig down for truffles. But that is only in some situations and with experience you learn to avoid that. And when you do it becomes a highly capable, dependable and powerful trucking tool that turns well and is efficient on fuel.

9) Zikz 605R

Arriving at the end of the Year 1 Pass in Phase 4: New Frontiers, the Zikz 605R was found near a crashed UFO. Which makes sense, bear with me, because its performance is out of this world. Honestly, this is a top tier truck, top three, maybe even top of the tree.

The reason is that it is versatile and extremely powerful off-road. What it lacks in utility compared with the Azov 73210, it makes up for with being just that bit more capable in bad conditions. The Amur region where you find it takes no prisoners, but the prize is worth the pain.

10) ANK MK38 Civilian

And my last choice for this SnowRunner best trucks bonanza is a truck that arrived with Phase 6: Haul & Hustle. It is the ANK MK38 Civilian, which is the standard offroad monster with extra addons and modifications to its weight.

The end result is a very capable and much more useful truck that retains its rebellious, somewhat tippy nature. Qualities that make it a pleasing drive and capable of pretty much anything. Assuming you have the skills to keep it upright.
