Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds are a thing! Yes, like in Forza Horizon 4 you can drive around looking for barns that hide some pretty spectacular rides – and some not so spectacular. Think of it as an Easter egg hunt only without the diabetes risk and religious overtones.
To be quite honest, Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds are fun to do. So maybe give them a go first before you use this guide and avoid clicking the spoiler buttons in this article.
However, with 14 of them in total (ignoring the story mode VW ‘Vocho’ Beetle) maybe you want some help. Or perhaps you are just wondering whether to bother.
Without further ado, here are all fourteen Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find locations in spoiler-friendly fashion. Complete with the map location, the car you unlock and anything else that might prove useful to know.
Bear in mind that 10 of the Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds are randomised so the order I had may be different to yours. The other four Barn Finds have specific requirements, which I will explain.
The first Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find location in my list is near a 3,000XP sign at the Gran Caldera volcano. This one is not so tough to find, but it is a fun area to explore.
To get this Barn Find going, you need to unlock the Baja Expedition in the main Horizon Adventure, where you can build outposts. During the Gran Caldera volcano exploration section, you need to complete the ‘Collect a sample from the hot spring lake’ accolade.
All this involves is driving into the hot steaming lake in this area. Hope you brought your swim shorts. A Barn Find rumour will now appear.
Now do some other events and wait until the blue collar classic is ready to be collected from the Car Collection menu. The next random Barn Find rumour should be announced before that happens. Or you can do the other three that require specific actions.
Ford Escort MK1 1967
My second Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find is located at the jungle airfield in the south of Mexico where you see lots of abandoned airplanes. What we are looking for is hidden among some trees and foliage.
To activate this Barn Find, you need to unlock and play the Horizon Adventure Wilds Jungle Expedition, which says: “Track down a big cat in the Mexican Jungle”. One of the five accolades during the exploration section is to find the lost barn. Makes sense.
Jaguar Sport XJR-15 1991
My third Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find is located in the south of Mexico, southeast of the Atlantes de Tula ruin and between some rivers.
To start this Barn Find, you need to unlock the first Horizon Adventure. Specifically the Apex road racing Tulum Expedition. During the exploration section, a Barn Find rumour will be announced if you complete the ‘top of the central ruin’ accolade.
GMC Jimmy
Want a Barn Find with a more serious reward? This one happens to the east of the Gran Caldera Volcano, so trek back here and look south of the squiggly mountain road.
Porsche 911 Carrera RS
My fifth Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds car is located on the Riviera Maya side of the map. You know, the tourist trap bit where you can swim up to the bar and get inebriated on Mexican cocktails. Head just north of the Pantana De La Selva area near some water.
Ferrari F40 Competizione
Continuing the theme of Forza Horizon 5 muscle, Barn Find six lives in the Gran Pantano area. Find it and you can expect a high-powered reward.
Dodge Viper GTS ACR
My seventh Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find is below the Tierra Prospera area on the Mexico map. Cruise around the fields for a while and eventually the elusive barn will appear.
Ford F-100
And now we come to Barn Find eight, which the game teases as from a popular movie. I really thought it might be the DeLorean DMC-12. The location is northwest of the main Guanajuato city in Mexico.
So is it the car Marty and the Doc drove? Nope. I would say it is something even cooler.
Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback
My ninth Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find lives between the Teotihuacan and Granjas De Tapalpa. Apologies for any bad pronunciations, Spanish speakers.
Not too difficult to find this one and your reward is a car that cares a lot about V8 noise and horsepower and little about efficiency.
Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock
Next in my Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds list is a truly expensive and rare machine. It will appear on the map west of the Playa Azul coast – specifically, not far from the Los Jardines area.
Your reward once sold at auction for US$70 million. So I would check your barn to see if you have one lying around. Just in case.
Ferrari 250 GTO
This Barn Find is another that appears randomly as you progress through Forza Horizon 5. It is located inland from the west coast, south of De Otro Mondo.
Find it and you get a useful machine for cross country racing.
Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck
The next Barn Find in my list appears northwest of the Gran Caldera volcano in Mexico. It took me a while to find this one, not going to lie. Must be all the sand.
To activate this Barn Find, you need to purchase the La Cabaña house. One of seven properties at launch. It costs 150,000 credits. You will also need to have completed the Baja Expedition, the first Barn Find in my list.
Find it and you get a car known as the ‘Quatrelle’ in its home country of France. This the smallest Barn Find car in Forza Horizon 5.
Renault 4L Export
The penultimate Forza Horizon 5 Barn Finds car is back near the Gran Caldera volcano. East-ish this time, just off a main road. There is a race to the south in case you need a clue.
Find it and your reward is one of my favourite BMWs ever made, the 2002 Turbo. This was BMW’s first turbocharged production car, but it is how it looks that makes me want one very much.
BMW 2002 Turbo
And my fourtheenth and final Forza Horizon 5 Barn Find lives near a street race just off the main Mexico road. A little east of the river that runs south under said motorway or highway (delete as appropriate).
Find it and you get a Chevrolet Corvette from 1953. An estimated 225 of this car has survived, making it a car you do not want to crash. But then this is Forza so do what you like.
