Here is how to unlock the PLAD 450 in SnowRunner, one of two new trucks introduced in Season 13: Dig & Drill. Watch for the best routes and useful tips.

Hello and welcome to A Tribe Called how to unlock the PLAD 450 in SnowRunner. You need Season 13: Dig & Drill then go to the map called the Zherbai Quarries in the Almaty region. The task is called Not a Roller Coaster and is a four-parter.

  1. Deliver the Oversized Cargo to the Old Slate Quarry
  2. Deliver the PLAD 450 to the Logistics Center
  3. Deliver the Wide Flatbed Semi-Trailer to the same Logistics Center
  4. Repair/refuel the PLAD 450

The Oversized Cargo is meant to be on the Wide Flatbed Semi-Trailer so this part of the task can be a two-birds-with-one-stone affair. Or you can use another truck and/or trailer for the container such as the Western Star 6900 TwinSteer.

Whatever you do, I would repair the PLAD 450 at the end of the drive so as not to keep on damaging it during transit. The garage is not far from the Logistics Center so you can speedily deploy a repair and refuel truck.

Getting to the PLAD 450

You can take the dirt track (no jokes) to get to the PLAD 450, trailer and oversized cargo

To complete Not a Roller Coaster, use a truck with a crane as there is a chance the trailer and cargo you need to deliver alongside the PLAD 450 may have fallen over.

A powerful, fuel efficient truck with a high saddle height – such as the Derry Special 15C-177, Kenworth 963 or Azov 67096 “Atom” – is also advisable. Maybe even the FEMM 37-AT if you can tame its temperamental articulated steering and keep it from running out of fuel.

The return route is basically a horseshoe on tarmac roads with an easy-to-avoid blockade in the town. Get to the Oversized Cargo marker on the map in the west then separate the PLAD 450 from the trailer and cargo. Use a crane to reload the storage container on the trailer if it has fallen off or load it onto your own trailer or truck.

Back the way you came (kind of)

The trailer is big so take a route where you have the most space to manoeuvre

Once the trailer and cargo is attached to your truck, hook up the PLAD 450 using the winch then drive back the way you came. Grab some fuel along the way as you will need it. The PLAD 450 can get stuck when being towed so consider separating the two until back on wider roads.

You may also want to separate the trailer and PLAD 450 once you get to the dirt road after the garage. Head south at the junction then work your way round the Old Slate Quarry in counter-clockwise fashion. Shortcuts can end badly. I would therefore advise sticking to the easier spiral route.

Deliver the Oversized Cargo & PLAD 450

You can shortcut into the Old Slate Quarry in the west but it is risky

Now drop the Oversized Cargo in the yellow box then go back the way you came. It is time either to head back to the PLAD 450. Or deliver the Wide Flatbed Semi-Trailer to the aforementioned Logistics Center – seeing as it is on the way.

When you have the trailer and PLAD 450 reunited or just the latter to deliver, you can go the long way round or take a shortcut through the swamp to the Logistics Center. Drive the truck and trailer into their respective yellow boxes.

Repair the PLAD 450

The Logistics Center is an easy drive with or without taking a shortcut

Finally, the PLAD 450 needs to be repaired so get something from the garage with fuel and repair points. How much you will need of both will depend on how much of a beating the PLAD 450 took along the way.

Once fully topped up and repaired, Not a Roller Coaster is over and you now have the PLAD 450 at your disposal. Happy trucking.

And on that note, I hope my guide on how to unlock the PLAD 450 in SnowRunner was useful. Let me know if you have any pro tips in the comments. Subscribe and like. Take care, bye.
