Here are my top 10 SnowRunner Season 8 best trucks, just in case you need a little extra help in the four new Belozersk Glades maps.

Hello and welcome to A Tribe Called Cars. My name is Ben Griffin and this is my guide to the best trucks for SnowRunner Season 8: Grand Harvest.

Given that this is a relatively easy map compared with the likes of Amur, Lake Kovd and Imandra, my focus is on a wider array of vanilla trucks because it is nice to mix things up. Of course, I will still include some absolute powerhouses.

So, when picking a truck for Season 8, fuel efficiency is usually a big consideration – particularly early on. Each of the four maps are big and there is a lot of liquid gold-sapping mud, moguls and mayhem along the way.

Also important is versatility. Most tasks are cargo-based, with some requiring a crane. So it can make sense to use a truck with a crane, cargo bed and the potential to also tow a trailer effectively.

With that said, in the Belozersk Glades trailer stores are separate from the garage or non-existent so there is a case to be made for trucks with larger default capacities, such as the Azov 73210, International Paystar 5600TS and Western Star TwinSteer 6900.

1) Kirovets K-700

Okay, let’s begin with the Kirovets K-700. A tractor from the 1960s that is one of two vehicles able to attach those new Cultivator, Multi-row Planter and Harvester trailers for farming tasks. It can also fit a mean-looking hook for grabbing haybales and rogue Khan L04Fs.

Whether it is the best tractor for farming is something I shall answer in my tractor showdown. What I will say is that the K-700 can get up to a decent speed and is capable of rescuing trucks thanks to big wheels and AWD and Diff Lock.

Just bear in mind that its inability to stay straight is annoying as is the lack of power with the stock engine. It also has the turning circle of the Ever Given container ship, making it not always the most pleasing thing to drive.

I rate this truck six Brians out of ten.

2) Kirovets K-7M

As SnowRunner’s widest vehicle by some margin, hello unlockable dual wheels, you would think the K-7M from Kirovets is good for traction. And since it was given always-on AWD and Diff Lock, that is definitely the case.

What the K-7M lacks in utility, it makes up for with sheer pulling power once you slap on the best engines. At stock, it can and will struggle to move sometimes, which is very un-tractor-like and more of a reflection of how SnowRunner deals with torque. Or rather, doesn’t.

Like the K-700, the K-7M can be a bit unruly in the handling department and heaven forbid you need to navigate with dual wheels between trees. However, if you want a modern tractoring experience with ridiculous stability and a van addon this is it. Mainly because there is no other choice.

3) Step 39331 “Pike”

Rescued from the garage-less Institute area of the Season 8 DLC, we have a truck that is by no means a fish out of water in SnowRunner. Honestly, this is one of the best trucks added to the game in numerous ways.

Not just because the Step 33931 “Pike” allows me to make bad fish puns. No, no, it is a versatile, capable and easy-to-handle off-roading machine. I would not go as far as saying it is a Tayga King Killer, as a few viewers have suggested, but it is worth getting.

43-inch mud of offroad tyres, always-on AWD and Diff Lock and various useful addons make it a winner. Plus its crane, unique cargo bed and trailer combination, albeit with little clearance, works wonders in the Belozersk Glades.

It could have done with a slightly larger fuel capacity, but then the Pike does cover difficult terrain faster than most and it is a really enjoyable truck to drive. Just be careful that its speed can result in random damage and, even worse, a visit from the god of tipping over.

And then you will be swimming with the fishes… On your pike, Ben.

4) International Paystar 5600TS

Now, for tasks where you need a lot of spare fuel, log carrying potential or need maximum cargo space without a trailer, the International Paystar 5600TS is worth a look. Especially as its four-slot long-boi counterpart, the 6900 TwinSteer, is considerably more tippy.

You can equip a medium log carrier and medium log trailer or use three slots of cargo space, a small crane and a trailer. Either way, expect it to make slow but assured progress, thanks to AWD, Diff Lock and decent horsepower.

It can get thirsty in deep mud and during river crossings, mind you, so keep an eye on that fuel gauge on longer drives. Or prepare to have a plan B.

The 5600TS may not be the most exciting truck in SnowRunner, but I like that you can do fewer journeys because it has so much cargo space, overall versatility and is an unfussy handler.

5) DAN 96320

For the next choice in my best trucks for SnowRunner Season 8: Grand Harvest, arguably you could go with most of the heavy trucks for carrying bigger trailers or bigger cargo. However, the DAN 96320 is one of the most powerful and most stable, making it a great wind turbine carrier.

In fact, I was able to do one of three turbine tasks without Active Suspension and only a few times did the trailer grind along the floor. You can even use it for general deliveries and truck rescues, just do not expect that lazy trucking cargo bed and crane combo.

Admittedly, it is a little slow to turn and has a larger turning circle than some of its rivals, including my next truck choice, but Mr DAN does drive predictably and is hardly fuel inefficient either.

6) Azov 73210

Sixth in my best trucks for Season 8 list, we have a regular on A Tribe Called Cars for good reason. Many tasks in the Belozersk Glades require decent river-crossing and mud performance across long distances, which is where an efficient and powerful load-lugger comes into play.

The Azov 73210 is also highly adaptable, thanks to basically every add-on in the game, can navigate trees well thanks to rear-wheel steering and is generally a monster when it comes to lugging bigger cargo like wind turbines.

It nearly did not make the list because of its big nose, even with Active Suspension. And yet once again the pros vastly outweigh the cons of having to take some obstacles at an angle, backup to unstick its sizable nose and do some areas in reverse.

7) GMC Brigadier 8000

And now for a truck I barely use and yet it is really quite functional. The GMC Brigadier 8000 can fit a cargo bed, crane and pull a trailer effectively, has plenty of grunt for when the going gets tough and I think it looks great – particularly with that custom paintjob.

The Brigadier 8000 also has an old-school American vibe about it. An example of when problems are solved with horsepower and little regard for anything else. Point and shoot – this is the way.

Now I know this is a DLC truck, but it is nice to make use of the stuff some of us have paid for. Alternatively, there is the non-DLC GMC MH9500, which looks similar and can also do a cargo bed, crane and trailer simultaneously. You just lose the custom paintjob and 45 litres of fuel capacity but gain one-inch larger tyres.

Also a shoutout to the various Western Stars, which in their improved forms can do well in the Glades. The main point is that Season 8 gives you flexibility to use trucks outside the norm and the Brigadier 8000 is one of the most useful.

8) International Paystar 5070

Yet another oldie but still relevant, we have the International Paystar 5070. What it lacks in speed and outright power, it makes up for with a ‘never give up’ attitude. It just goes and goes and goes and goes until you make it – or run out of fuel.

As with other best trucks for Season 8: Grand Harvest, it sips fuel without being too much of a glutton and it has a decent-size tank. It also does pretty well off-road once you engage AWD and Diff Lock with either mud or off-road tyres.

Being able to use a trailer, cargo bed and crane all at once is the cherry on top of what is an easily overlooked chunk of trucking metal. The fact it takes a bit more effort to tame makes it a rewarding drive.

9) International HX 520

In ninth place in my best trucks for Season 8, we have the International HX 520. Truth be told, it is rather close to the CAT CT680 and CT681 in multiple ways. However, the HX 520 lets you have a crane, cargo bed and keep the trailer at a less turning-circle ruining distance.

It is also versatile, great for long range cruising (especially with AWD off where possible) and it is a predictable handler.

Other trucks are speedier in harsher conditions, but there is something likable about the HX 520. It may not make much sense in Amur or other examples of SnowRunner at its toughest, but in Belozersk it can be a fun and practical steed.

10) Yar 87

And finally, there is quite a bit of scouting to do in Season 8: Grand Harvest, whether that is locating certain areas for tasks or simply uncovering the map using exploration and watchtowers. So I decided to bring out one of my favourites, the pirate-friendly Yar 87.

Of course, you could use the Ford F 750, Loady McLoadFace or even the TUZ 420 “Tatarin” if you are careful around water or stick to the two maps with less of it.

However, the Yar 87’s big tyres, stability, additional fuel and repair points, fuel efficiency and overall pleasant drive make it an effective and enjoyable option.

Six wheels are, after all, better than four in SnowRunner most of the time. Especially when chunky and each one has always-on Diff Lock and switchable AWD. Completing the likes of Lost Tech was no trouble whatsoever.
