Forza Horizon 5 money glitch: Methods, tips & tricks

Forza Horizon 5 money glitches are a thing – here are four methods for getting money, XP, Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins really, really fast and without even needing to be there.

Considering Forza Horizon 5 rewards you for everything but going to the toilet and breathing, it is actually quite profitable just to, you know, play the game. Enjoy it. Soak up the experience. Things are only new once, right?

However, if you want to progress faster for whatever reason, well you have come to the right place. For this is my guide on how to make money fast in Forza Horizon 5. And also lots of XP to level up faster too.

We are talking millions of credits and hundreds of wheelspins and skill points for the best method, which also happens to be insanely cheesy. And no I do not mean buying lots of Supras and Jeeps although I talk about that too.

If you find this video useful, be sure to like, subscribe and share. Remember some methods may get removed from the game. And no, none will get you the banhammer. Or Benhammer, as my Discord members call it. Loads of useful stuff in the video description so go check that out (and click the play button above).

29/11/2021 UPDATE: Custom blueprint event rewards are now capped at 200k. Therefore, create custom routes that are shorter for method 3 and 4.

Method 1: Supra Willys shopping

The first way to make money fast in involves buying lots of cars that have a Super Wheelspin in their perks. Specifically, cars that do it with as few skill points used as possible.

You can only unlock a Super Wheelspin once per car so get ready to spend a lot of time in the Autoshow buying up Toyota Supras (55,000cr) and Willys MB Jeeps (40,000cr). The latter is better as it is cheaper to buy but the skill point number required to unlock the Super Wheelspin is the same (5).

The good thing about this method is that it is easy. The downside is that you will need to grind skill points to afford all the car mastery perks, which are key to unlocking Super Wheelspins over and over.

Use a drift car or something else with drift bonuses and a larger multiplier to maximise how fast you accumulate skill points.

Remember that beyond 500,000 points you gain no more extra skill points. So drift around until you reach, say, ten times 50,000 or five times 100,000 points. Anything beyond that is wasted time and effort.

There is also the matter of affording the Supras and Jeeps. However, once you have done a few Super Wheelspins you should be fine.

You can favourite cars to know which you have already plundered for the Super Wheelspin. But even then, this is a hands-on and tedious method. It is particularly good for making money and you may get lucky with some awesome vehicles though.

Method 2: Goliath grafting

Yes, the biggest road race in Forza Horizon history is back and longer than ever. But unlike Goliath in Forza Horizon 4, there are no roundabouts and it is easier to learn in my opinion.

How to unlock Goliath? Unlock all four Horizon Mainstage racing expeditions and Goliath will appear on the map on the east coast of Mexico. Drive to it, then create a custom blueprint.

Setup a Goliath race with 1 lap or 50 laps or whatever you prefer and enjoy up to millions of experience points after you cross the finish line. Plus a large sum of cash and numerous Wheelspins as you level up along the way. Which may also make you more millions.

S2 class vehicles are a good starting point for this method as anything slower will take much longer – especially if you do many laps. A car with a bonus to clean racing skills such as the BMW X5 M Forza Edition is a good choice as it handles brilliantly and has relevant bonuses.

X class is king and king of X class, unless a nerf happens, is the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition. This thing has downforce for days, according to the kids, and is fast too. Sub-nine-minute laps are possible if you have the skills.

Just remember to invest skill points in perks that boost racing to really eke out the rewards you get at the end. And remember to take a break as eight hours of Goliath is probably not good for your mind or body.

Also, apparently it is not good for some gaming PCs. One Reddit user said his game crashed at 45 laps. Imagine that many hours of racing, all for nothing? Not cool. So consider separate five-lap stints to reduce the misery if something does go wrong.

Method 3: Highway hijinks

Method 3: This is a variation on the Goliath thing, except by doing the highway you really only need to worry about your top speed and going round a couple of roundabouts.

This method is particularly good for maximising racing skill point bonuses, especially with a car that has a convoy bonus and you are in one. All you have to do is find a road race near the highway such as the Llanuras Sprint. Then look for a custom blueprint or create your own route.

You will need to do a test drive before you can make a custom route so give it a run and make sure it all works nicely. Set the lap number as one and then change it once complete otherwise you will have to run all of them. The road race I made takes about four minutes a lap.

A mixture of Goliath and Highway cruising will make you very rich – however, there is one more thing I need to show you.

Method 4: Look, no hands!

And now for the cheesiest, must dastardly and cunning method of money and XP making a Forza Horizon game has ever seen. I feel somewhat ashamed, but it is just so effective when it comes to making money, XP, skill points and Wheelspins that I have to mention it.

This method is a variation of Goliath farming – except you do not even have to drive. Yes, you heard that right. In Forza Horizon 5 a feature first seen in Forza Motorsport 1 becomes game-breaking – the ability for cars to drive themselves.

Under Settings, then Difficulty then Steering is ‘auto-steering’. Not just assisted steering. We are talking full-blown autopilot that would make the one in Airplane proud.

Combine that with ‘assisted’ braking and you end up with self-driving. Just like how most real cars work minus the part about maintaining a safe distance between you and other cars, of course.

Use a Velcro strap as I have or some other method of keeping the trigger pressed and you can go away and make a tea, finish that novel, worm the cat etc, while your car laps Goliath. AFK or away from keyboard as it is known in PC land.

And a self-driving car can even do so with lap times as low as nine minutes and 24 seconds. Faster than a lot of human drivers.

Now, not all vehicles can do this trick. Most corners are high speed, but just as you start heading west across the top of Mexico you encounter a tight right-hander and then shortly after a U-bend. Inappropriate cars or inappropriate setups may see the car crash.

If this happens, it means you could get stuck driving into a rock unless you manually rectify the situation or the car tips over and it automatically resets. Obviously the former situation is not ideal if going AFK.

What cars work best for AFK Goliath?

What cars are good for AFK Goliath cheesing? The aforementioned Lambo Sesto Elemento Forza Edition, BMW X5 M Forza Edition or anything with good speed and great braking and downforce performance. Cars that are harder to fishtail. The main test is that U-bend.

Check the description for my AFK tunes as I have done a lot of the hard work for you. Please note that unless you go for slower cars, there is always a chance of a crash. But cars like the X5 M are very reliable – even at X class.

If you want the brilliant, arguably overpowered Sesto Elemento FE, prepare to spend at least 6 million on the auction house or get lucky with Wheelspins. Remember that you could sell the duplicate if and when you get one so it is more of a cash flow thing.

This money making method works especially well because you can have zero Drivatar opponents. Racing against them can severely reduce your lap times as they get in the way, which harms efficiency. I also did not see an XP gain difference.

Any other useful tips?

Other useful tips? Switch traction control on to reduce the chance of spinning out. Switch ABS on to reduce the issue of locked brakes. Automatic makes sense. Zero traffic, too.

Also avoid damage wear as your tyres will degrade and eventually slow your lap times over a long enough period. Rewind on or off is irrelevant if you are not around, but could be useful if you are.

Bear in mind that a wireless controller will eventually run out of battery and the moment it does the game is paused. Not great for AFK overnighters. So plug a controller in via USB Type B or Type C, depending on the console it belongs to.

If you have to rely on battery, you can disable vibration to save juice and, as with those on PC, do multiple sets of fewer laps in case something goes wrong.

Over a period of 50 laps, I made more than 2.5 million XP and ended up with at least 100 wheelspins. I also appeared to make millions in money and levelled up so much that I have had to speed up the footage. Pretty good considering I was asleep the entire time…

And that is it for this video. Absolutely do not use any of these methods unless you want to. It is best to enjoy Forza Horizon 5 until things get a bit grindy and then indulge. At the end of the day, it is a game. Have fun, be sure to subscribe, share and like and I will see you next time.
