The SnowRunner Year 3 Pass is official

Champagne at the ready, the most concrete SnowRunner Year 3 Pass confirmation has been released. Here is all the gossip.

Remember my last Year 3 Pass video with seemingly concrete proof? Well, courtesy of SnowRunner publisher Focus Home, we now have official confirmation.

In the SnowRunner Season 8: Grand Harvest trailer description, we see the following words: “The Year 3 Pass is coming soon.” Yes, no more sequel speculation, the cat is out the bag.

And not just more content, four new phases to be precise. The description adds: “It is nearly time for the Year 3 Pass to expand the SnowRunner experience even further, with four new phases of content to be released, as well as new vehicles, new maps, add-ons and more!”

That is not all. Focus Home continues: “The Year 3 Pass will also grant instant access to the exclusive Save the Day Vinyl Wrap Pack, which adds four exclusive skins for the Freightliner M916, Freightliner 114SD, International HX520 and the Chevrolet Kodiak C70 (1981). More info soon!”

Is this info legitimate? Well, Mr Esorokin of the Saber Interactive team said on the official SnowRunner Discord that he is not allowed to comment. But that, “Focus leaked it – it is up to them to comment on this”.

The important bit being that he confirmed it is Focus Home talking. Also that, being the publisher of SnowRunner, it would know what to expect after the Year 2 Pass. Especially as the release of Season 8: Grand Harvest has been and gone.

“Not leaked at all”

Focus Home, meanwhile, chimed in on the Discord to say that the Year 3 Pass information was not “leaked” at all. Mzulft says: “It is not leaked at all, it always has been our intention to talk about the Year 3 Pass in our press release.”

When asked for more concrete details, Focus Home added: “There will be for sure, but the main info of today was the release of Season 8.”

I should also add that I received an official email from Focus Home, with the same message as in the SnowRunner Season 8: Grand Harvest video description.

So there you have it. Yet another four phases to enjoy but it is too early to be told about what to expect in terms of map locations, truck types and gameplay challenges.

Given that we have grown potatoes, gone racing, cleared up chemical spills, repaired wind farms, visited the house from a horror movie, cried while building a garage and more, the Year 3 Pass could go in any direction. Except war, as Esorokin explicitly ruled that out.

He also ruled out the return of more trials. However, this could have been meant sarcastically. I mean, I suspect about two per cent of us actually finished them and maybe even fewer actually enjoyed them.

Anyway, what do you think the Year 3 Pass will include? The crazier the idea, the better. So chuck that in the comments and, if you have not already, subscribe and like. It really helps me keep the Tribe going.
