Easy & fast XP & money in RoadCraft

Want easy & fast XP (experience) and money in RoadCraft? Here’s my guide to making as much as $60,000 and 6,500xp an hour without any cheats or glitches. Watch for exactly how to do it on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and see if you can beat my time.

Remember there was an easy and fast XP and money method in SnowRunner? Well, turns out there is an easy and fast XP and money method in RoadCraft too. Albeit one that is less fun to do and not necessarily needed. But maybe you just want to reduce the grind a bit.

The trick is to rinse and repeat the glorified tutorial starter map known as Precipice, complete with ten objectives and three infrastructure requests. It took me 40 minutes to finish everything without trying too hard.

Based on my calculations, which could change in future game updates, completing Precipice earns you around 10,000XP and 32,000 RoadCraft credits. Factoring in my completion time, that is an average of 250XP and 780 credits per minute.

How to make easy & fast XP in RoadCraft

The trick can be done solo or when playing co-op. Simply load up the game, go into the map selection menu and then either start Precipice if new to the game or this game save. Or choose to restart progress, then load it up.

All XP and money earned will contribute to your total, even if you have completed Precipice before. Or indeed any map you choose to reset and restart.

Whether you want to complete the whole map each time or not is up to you. Though the most boring and cheesiest method is seemingly the most lucrative, but more on that in a second.

If you wanted to maximise your XP and money earnings, some sneaky shortcuts could help – if you can find some. Also use the fastest scout vehicle, which is perhaps not the Tuz 303 “Karelian” in this video, but it is pretty speedy and makes light work of the sometimes waterlogged trails in this map.

Road to success

The first road drive is 400 metres long and earns 500 experience. This took under two and a half minutes in the Tuz 303 “Karelian”. Assuming two minutes is possible in another scout truck, which you must start in, that would mean 250 experience points a minute.

Factor in the time to load up the map, come back out after the task is complete, reset progress then reload and things get less lucrative. Potentially 150 to 200XP a minute. Or 9,000 to 12,000XP an hour.

For sheer XP harvesting then, I suspect nothing else in RoadCraft will prove as effective. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me in the comments.

You could also drive on to the “South Union” Phosphate Plant, which took to a playtime of just over 4 minutes, for variety and another 500XP before reloading. Or another 650XP for reaching the Forward Base, which is around 450 metres away.

What about easy money?

The issue with these initial objectives is that you do not earn any money. Not that earning money is particularly difficult in RoadCraft. It is only when you reach the Phosphate Plant, which unlocks an objective to clear the entrance. Do so for 800XP and 1,500 credits.

In my XP-focussed run I prioritised reaching the Forward Base. If you want easy money, however, you will use the Kronenwerk L-34 to clear the barrel, car and cable spool as fast as possible. Then potentially quit, reset progress and reload the map. Rinse and repeat until filthy rich and dead inside.

Driving to the Forward Base is likely less efficient, unless your PC is a potato and very slow to load and you are able to use some insanely fast mod truck. But it will be less tedious than driving the initial 400 metres until your eyes bleed and your fingers become gnarled stubs.

At this point in Precipice, things get slower with regard to XP and money accumulation. While it is fast to plot a route and you get 500XP and 1,600 RoadCraft credits upon completion, by now I had been playing for 15 minutes.

Worth finishing Precipice?

Then again, once those AI lemmings are making their way, you can find and recover the generator. This objective is not far and rewards you with 1,200XP and 2,520 credits. Not too shabby.

Later tasks in Precipice include more route plotting, using the Baikal crane to drag Concrete Slabs into the resource zone, loading up resources on a crane-less Muel T1 before driving it to a nearby plant and finishing the flood wall with two large harbour cranes.

This final and easy task pays 2,800XP and 10,600 credits. Assuming you are not totally useless with a crane and go the right way, unlike me, you could easily beat my 40-minute total. Is a 30 minute run possible with stock trucks? I shall leave that to you for testing.

On that note, thank you for watching my easy & fast XP and money in RoadCraft. Obviously, there is no need for this method. For maximum enjoyment and game longevity, perhaps it is worth avoiding. Decide for yourself though it is mandatory to subscribe and like this video. Possibly.
