Hello and welcome to A Tribe Called how to scan a Remnant Ghost. Subscribe and like. As the game story tells you, the wagon you drive is actually a Remnant. Bit of a clue there.

The ‘Ghost’ part is also a clue. Yes, we need to kill our beloved wagon/estate. If you died recently, you do not need to die again. I shall get to what you need to do in just a second.

What you need to do

For those who have not died recently, remove all parts and upgrades you do not want to lose or have to repair. Now set a nearby junction as the destination and drive to it – keep it nearby as you will have to drive there again but avoid Dead Ends.

Now proceed to drive into things and generally cause yourself harm until you die and are brought back to the Auto Shop. At this point, park up your car and go to the Route Mapper. Look at the junction you just died in – there should be a red tombstone icon.

Equip your wagon as you would to escape from a junction then drive back to the one you just died in. Look for the tombstone on the map (it will be where you died) and drive to it. Now scan the wreck and, voila, that is the Remnant Ghost prerequisite completed.

While you are here, feel free to reclaim your lost loot from the boot and look for any spare parts. My engine was intact so I nabbed that. You can use this trick to reclaim lost loot and parts – not just for scanning a Remnant Ghost.
