TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge free on Xbox One

Got Xbox Live Gold and fancy some street-based motorbike racing? TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge is currently free to download for the Xbox One console. Here’s what else you need to know.

The videogame version of the greatest motorsport event in the world, TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge, is free for anyone with an Xbox One console and Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Simply load up your Xbox One, head to the membership area of the Xbox dashboard. There you can download TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge. What are you waiting for?

The Xbox Live Games with Gold deal is running from the 1st to the 29th of February 2020. So no excuse not to pick up a fairly decent intrepretation of the 37.73-mile Snaefell road race.

Just doing one lap of the life-ending circuit takes dedication, especially as the game is great at conveying speed. Try the cockpit view for maximum background blurring.

There are other circuits to sink your teeth into if you grow tired of crashing into garden walls at 200mph. Although that will take a while as the physics system is half-decent and perfecting a lap keeps you glued.

In my DriveTribe review, I said: “TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge is a satisfying racer for anyone who appreciates motorsport (not just two-wheelers) because it manages to capture the sense of speed and danger the real-life race is famous for with remarkable accuracy.”

Why free? Well, it’s no coincidence that its sequel, cunningly named TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2, has a 19th of March 2020 release date. I’m down for a review code so stay tuned for my review (video and written), as well as some good-old tips and tricks.

Until then, you can watch my MotoGP 19 review if you fancy some other two-wheeler racing to keep you busy.
