Hot Wheels Unleashed Batman Expansion & DC Super-Villains cars

Hot Wheels Unleashed Batman Expansion and DC Super-Villains Racing Season explained

In this Hot Wheels Unleashed Batman Expansion news article, I talk that and the DC Super-Villains Racing Season Volume 1 DLC.

Hot Wheels Unleashed only includes the Bone Shaker DLC car if you already own the Volume 1 DLC, however there is a lot of content on the way. I talked about the release date schedule in another video, link in the description, and now we have details of the superhero stuff.

Announced at the DC Kids Fandome, Hot Wheels Unleashed developer Milestone gave us details of the previously mysterious Racing Season. Now we know it is the DC Super-Villains Racing Season and will be available from the 11th of November 2021.

DC Super-Villains Racing Season

The update includes free and premium content, I have asked exactly what that entails and will update the top comment accordingly. What I can say now is that the first Racing Season includes six themed vehicles.

These new vehicles are The Cheetah from Wonder Woman, Black Manta from Aquaman and Poison Ivy, Bane, Deathstroke and Harley Quinn from Spiderman. Just checking you are listening. Each one looks great. Hopefully Hot Wheels fans agree.

You will also get ‘many themed customisation items for the basement’ including a Riddler background with green question marks, more player profile stuff and extra gears and coins. To help prevent as much AFK multiplayer reward farming, presumably.

The DC Super-Villains Racing Season will run from the 11th of November 2021 to the 18th of January 2022. Exactly what happens during and after that date is unclear, but I will also try to find that out. It would be weird if the cars and other content disappeared forever.

Hot Wheels Unleashed Batman Expansion

Next we have the Hot Wheels Unleashed Batman Expansion. The release date is the 2nd of December 2021 and includes five themed cars: Armoured Batman, Batman Rebirth, The Joker GT, Robin 2.0T (presumably stands for turbo) and, my personal favourite, The Penguin.

The Batman Expansion is included in the Volume 1 Season Pass. But it is also available separately from the same date. A price is yet to be confirmed.

Based on the fact I have been able to check out the Street Fighter cars I mentioned in my other DLC video, I would assume that all cars will be available to buy separately for a couple of quid. Like the DLC Bone Shaker. This would be fitting given the Hot Wheels toys in real life.

The Batman Expansion will also include its own themed customisation items and the Joker Funhouse Split, which is a track module that could ruin your day in multiplayer.

Even better, there will be a new environment known as the Bat Cave. So it appears you will be able to make your own tracks somewhere new and enjoy creations from the developer.

The Volume 1 Season Pass costs £24.99 or equivalent in your country. Stay tuned for my first impressions of all this stuff when it is released. Hot Wheels Unleashed has its flaws, but generally it is a really fun racer that features some awesome digital diecast machines.
