Top 10 SnowRunner console mods

Want some of the best console mods for SnowRunner? Here is my top 10, ranging from super overpowered to subtly balanced.

When it comes to SnowRunner console mods, there are far fewer to enjoy than on PC. You can blame the stricter approval process of Microsoft and Sony for that. This is why a lot of my mod videos are PC-related.

Not today though because I am listing ten of the SnowRunner‘s best console mods. Yes, mod trucks and mod maps you can use on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Series S and, of course, PC. But not Nintendo Switch – at least, not yet.

Now, I only picked 10 examples because to list every mod I like would mean going grey or hairless by the end. I will, however, be making more best console mods videos with different themes so keep your eyes peeled.

Such is how time works, all mods were available on console at the time of making this video. However, things can change so please no angry flaming mob at my door if that happens.

I made a video about installing mods, check the video description if you are a mod newbie. I will put all mod links in there too because convenience. Now get comfy, grab some popcorn and press like and subscribe – it is show time.

SnowRunner Console mods: Azov Iceberg

Mr Azov Iceberg, which gets its name from being a cheeky version of the Azov Antarctic, which is a cheeky version of the Kamaz Arctic, is on my channel a lot. I just love the way the 42-20 looks and the sheer size of the thing. Proper Russian beast.

Unfortunately in standard form it is lacking in versatility and is not as powerful as the real truck. The fuel capacity and vehicle weight are wrong, for starters.

Absolutely not lacking in versatility or power is the Iceberg, which ironically is unsinkable when it comes to off-roading and there is very little it cannot do. Use when failure is not an option.

Type S-100 (Berliet T100)

I must really like this French truck mod because the Berliet T100 made it into my big & OP mods video and then I made a separate video for the console-friendly Type S-100.

Besides being a giant amongst trucks, it is very practical, looks fantastic – I love the old steering wheel – and offers a unique driving challenge. Yet the maker refrained from making it overpowered so know that you can drive this and not ruin the experience.

Okay, maybe the six-slot cargo bed is a little overpowered but no one says you have to use it.

Overpowered rating: 3/5

TUZ 420 Tatarin JBE

Except in water and when it comes to towing, nobody has ever woken up and said the TUZ 420 ‘Tatarin’ is underpowered. After all, it has all the wheels and each one has a unique bonus in mud. And mud is everywhere. This makes it one of the best scouts in the game.

Of course, maybe you did wake up and think the TUZ 420 ‘Tatarin’ is underpowered. Well, the JBE edition, complete with added utility, off-roading ability, snorkels and general awesomeness is the mod for you. Just expect the challenges of scouting to evaporate into thin air.

Trucks Max Pack Console

The Trucks Max Pack Console mod changes the ability of a lot of vanilla trucks in one go. From tweaks to handling and engine output to new addons such as a coloured sideboard bed, very few stones have been unturned in the mod maker’s attempt at improving SnowRunner.

This is definitely a mod you load up and discover changes as you go, which makes it worth a look. Some stuff is overpowered but then quite a bit of SnowRunner is underpowered in the first place.

Overpowered rating: 4/5

iX 3880 Wrecker / Mini Wrecker

A SnowRunner console mod list would not be complete without an iX Wrecker, the 3880 being my favourite as it can do the most and has the coolest addons such as the manual vehicle trailer lift. The 3D model is also great – bags of customisation and looks cool.

To be honest, the only downside is that there really is no downside to this mod truck. It can go anywhere, do anything and probably has the T-shirt to prove it. I mean, with one addon it is impossible to lose your cargo.

But the Wreckers are not necessarily overpowered as there are so many tyres, engines and other equipment to choose from. It is possible to make a Wrecker merely enjoyable, as opposed to SnowRunner on easy mode.

Overpowered rating: 1-5

Keny C-500

My next choice has overtones of the Wrecker family. The Keny C-500 is similarly well-designed, offers 13 frame addons, an even bigger selection of tyres, some of which are super powerful, and some but not lots of customisation.

Side by side with the Wreckers, the Keny C-500 is a little less polished. There are some graphical issues here and there, plus the lack of interior customisation may put some of you off.

However, in terms of how it handles, performance and driving enjoyment, I sometimes prefer it. It is a no-nonsense SnowRunner beast that looks good and goes even better.

RNG TX Armoured Truck Pack

Next in my SnowRunner console mods list also warranted its own video – go watch it if you like. The Rng3r group, with a three, is responsible for some solid mods and the TX Armoured Truck Pack, comprised three different trucks, is especially memorable.

The reason is that the largest 8×8 truck can fit a bridge frame addon, which when used in conjunction with the bridge trailer, lets you bridge gaps wherever you want. Or create roadways over harsh terrain. Or ridiculous parkour courses around the garage.

Hopefully by the time you watch this video the TX bridge trailer will have arrived, as supposedly it is with the Microsoft and Sony approval gods. Once it does, prepare for some unique gameplay opportunties. Update: The RNG TX Bridge Layer is now available on console.

Pacific P16 JBE

Up next, we have the Pacific P16 JBE. The standard truck it uses as a base is free and powerful, yet the lack of all-wheel drive and utility can be off-putting. This is not an issue with the JBE version, which comes in single and dual-tyre flavours.

For starters, it has switchable AWD so less misery on slippery stuff. Then there is the plethora of addons, including cargo beds, cranes, roof rack and a heavy fuel carrier, making it far more versatile than its high saddle-only standard sibling.

Is it overpowered? Given that the real life truck can haul almighty tree stumps with ease, I think JBE’s interpretation was right to give the P16 a boost.

Also, I did manage to tip it over in two minutes. Just remember to put the kettle on when scrolling through all the tyre options. There is a lot.

Stadium Super Truck

Now we come to some SnowRunner mod map action. There are some fantastic creations out there, but one I like in particular is Stadium Super Truck. This is basically a giant playground, with assault courses providing bags of fun. Until you mess up for the tenth time.

You can even do a ring for maximum speed, except SnowRunner’s tarmac and highway tyre physics make this challenging. I think I spent more time upside down than in top gear. There is even a drag strip, but not the promise of winning Spoon engines like in the Fast & Furious.

For testing out trucks and generally being an idiot, Stadium Super Truck is well worth a look. Just remember that you access it by starting a new game, then custom scenarios and choose a save slot. Avoid overwriting your main save. Please.

Highway Haulin’

And lastly, the starter area of Michigan is the closest thing SnowRunner has to a highway-based map and, given that Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a thing, I am not so bothered.

However, for those who want to swap dirt for tarmac or like the idea of SnowRunner’s highway trucks having more of a purpose, the Highway Haulin’ PC map is now on console. And no I didn’t just pick it because you start in a place called Bennington. Although it helps.

Yes, trucks like this Ford can now haul things from A to B on normal roads that look like a cross between Milton Keynes and America. All that is missing are some seedy truckstop toilets with random holes in the wall. For ventilation purposes, obviously.

And that is it for my top 10 SnowRunner console mods video. Now you can let me know other mods I should try in the comments, once you have liked the video and subscribed of course. You think I would just let you watch the video in peace? Madness.
