With Season 12: Public Energy out the way, let us talk about the SnowRunner Year 4 Pass locations that were just teased as part of a new vinyl wrap pack.

Hello and welcome to A Tribe Called Cars. Today we have some big SnowRunner Year 4 Pass info to consume so grab a bib and get comfortable. Also be sure to like and subscribe if new round these parts to help me afford a nuclear bunker.

First up, the Year 4 Pass is available to buy right now – in doing so, you get access to Season 13: Dig & Drill, Season 14: Reap & Sow, Season 15: Oil & Dirt and Season 16: Expansion 4. You also get the ‘Salt of the Earth’ vinyl pack, the main focus of this video.

But before that, feel free to join my Patreon, become a YouTube member or put ATRIBECALLEDCARS (all one word) in the ‘Creator Tag’ at the checkout when buying something from Epic Games. It helps me run and invest in my channel.

Or don’t. Either way, that vinyl pack appears to tease the locations and themes of the Year 4 Pass – just like with the ‘Save the Day’ vinyl pack we got with the Year 3 Pass.

Yes, these four new skins for the ANK MK38, Caterpillar CT681, International Paystar 5070 and Western Star TwinSteer 6900 appear to give us some insight into the Year 4 Pass locations.

Please note: This is the script from my YouTube video, click play above to watch or click here.

Season 13: Dig & Drill

Starting with Season 13: Dig & Drill, a little deduction suggests this is related to the ANK MK38 Civilian skin. In which, we can see a mine cart, some silvery metal ore amongst the rubble, lanterns to light the tunnels and a pick-axe for mining.

There is also a lizard, which suggests a few places. Given the mining theme, we could be looking at somewhere in the US as that is where you can get red salamander. Lizard and mining experts – now is your time to shine in the comments.

Season 14: Reap & Sow

Season 14: Reap & Sow, meanwhile, appears to get a teaser on the International Paystar 5070 skin. We see a lumberjack with an axe showing some calf while climbing some logs. There appear to be other wood cutters in the background though these look more like swordsman.

Maybe we will not see farming, after all, which will be pleasing news to anyone who has ever harvested potatoes in SnowRunner. Bit of a longshot but his hat is reminiscent of Robin Hood. The famous British outlaw who stole from the rich to give to the poor. The opposite of Governments.

Where was Robin Hood based? Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood would do battle the Sheriff of Nottingham, which is in the middle-ish of the UK. Between Sheffield and Leicester. Not to be confused with Nottingham Forest, which is a football team.

As a tea-drinking, scone-consuming, country-conquering Brit with terrible dental health, I would like to see the United Kingdom feature. Though personally I would have picked other areas.

Season 15: Oil & Dirt

Then we have Season 15: Oil & Dirt. Given the oil rig, I am going to assume this applies to the Caterpillar CT681 skin. Seemingly the most clue-heavy paintjob of them all.

Firstly, are those penguins? Well, this flightless species of bird and the star of Pingu (yes, I am old) lives in the southern hemisphere, which is a problem for Canada in the northern hemisphere. That seems to rule out the oil production region of Newfoundland.

Except maybe it does not. Because there was once a bird called the Great Auk that was last seen in 1852. It was also known as the Pinguinus Impennis – careful how you say it.

Unfortunately, the penguin-looking birds on the CAT CT681 have a black head, which would go against my ridiculous Great Auk theory as, supposedly, the generic word penguin is derived from the Welsh pen gwyn meaning white head.

Or does it – guess where has a place called White Head Island? Newfoundland. Coincidence? You decide. What is conclusive is that the side of the paintjob shows an oil rig at sea – confirming the liquid gold type of oil and not the one for frying potatoes.

There is also the icy aesthetic, which suits the formidably cold area, and a big maple leaf, which is of course on the Canadian Flag and also the shape of the maple syrup I bought as a souvenir when I visited Montreal a few years ago. Fun city.

Season 16: Expansion 4

Anyway, enough about birds, potatoes and souvenirs. Saber Interactive and Focus Home appear to have learned from the mistake that was making one paintjob appear like we were going to get a Chernobyl expansion. We did get a nuclear theme, but the location was North Carolina.

As such, the skin for Season 16: Expansion 4 does not give much of a hint. Or it gives us a whopping great one because there are various Greek themes going on here on the Western Star TwinSteer 6900 skin.

That looks like Zeus summoning lightning and the architecture in the background has Greek temple vibes. Behind him appears to be Poseidon, one of three brothers of Zeus known for his three-pronged trident and control of the sea as that is what he inherited in Greek mythology. Zeus got the earth and Hades got what lives below.

Anyway, you can go listen to Stephen Fry if this stuff interests you, but I shall get back on track. Though Greece could well be the location of Season 16: Expansion 4, maybe it is actually a reference to a great battle or duel. I feel like I am missing something obvious.

On that god-based note, I shall bring the curtains down on my Year 4 Pass locations video. Those who buy it now for £20, US$20 or equivalent can access the Salt of the Earth vinyl pack and nothing else until Season 13: Dig & Drill is released. Whenever that will be.
