SnowRunner Season 11 release date revealed

Roll the film, the SnowRunner Season 11 release date has been officially revealed, meaning those on PC and console will soon be able to play.

SnowRunner Season 11: Lights & Cameras is the latest DLC as part of the Year 3 Pass or available separately, bringing with it two new maps in Scandinavia, two new trucks and free stuff for those who do not buy this DLC.

The release date, according to the developer, will be the 19th of October 2023 for all platforms. That means access to the new Mountain Ridge and By the Lake maps, both 2x2km in size, long before Halloween kicks in.

Please note: This is the script from my YouTube video, click play above to watch or go here.

Both new trucks are Scouty McScoutFaces though the Neo Falcon 2000 bears similarities with a few trucks. It can pull a scout trailer despite the fact I tried various addon permutations – maybe it was garage clearance though it usually says that as an error (I forgot to remove the spare wheel).

The Neo Falcon 2000 (based on the Indian-made Mahindra Bolero) is pretty fun to drive – go check out my separate video (above) for more – though nothing particularly special and I would rather see more heavy trucks.

Then there is the Burlak 6×6 from Russia, which I think makes up for the Neo Falcon 2000 being a bit underwhelming. Not only is it gigantic for a scout, it comes equipped with huge tyres, great off-road performance and can go a long way thanks to numerous support-based addons.

Based on its versatility, off-road prowess and unusual nature, I have found myself sliding the Burlak 6×6 into my fleet. It will never replace larger superior trucks, but it is as good as it gets if you need an autonomous winch. Unless you intend on pulling scout trailers.

What else is new to all in Season 11: Lights & Cameras? Well, everyone can enjoy 10 new stickers and two oil field flatbeds for the big and burly Kenworth 963 released in Season 10: Fix & Connect (one with two cargo slots instead of three but additional repair points).

There is also a service scout trailer with a single axle, which has 250 repair points, 150 litres of fuel and two spare tyres. Plus a twin-axle large service scout trailer with 600 repair points and nothing else.

Last but by no means least, especially when talking about my beloved DAN 96320, is the new multi-purpose cargo module. It is a large addon that combines a decent-sized crane, repair functionality and a one-slot bed. Hello, versatility.

Trucks that can fit the new multi-purpose cargo module are the Azov 5319, Azov 73210, DAN 96320, Derry Special 15C-177, Pacific P12, Tatra Force T815-7 and Zikz 612H “Mastodon”.

Revolving around a movie set theme, possibly Bollywood, a large superstar trailer will be one of the oversized cargo loads to lug around Orestoke, Scandinavia. Plus there is a fair amount of snow, crazy for a game called SnowRunner, and a tree-filled wilderness to run out of fuel in.

I shall be doing a full review of Season 11: Lights & Cameras, but until then I will say that it is a fun DLC with more big trailer enjoyment and a focus on exploration than previous DLCs. It is, however, less memorable, partly thanks to a fair amount of familiar terrain assets.

So there you have it. The 19th of October 2023 is the SnowRunner Season 11 release date. Expect a best trucks list, my full review and more around that date. And also some EA Sports WRC content as I have been playing that. For the second time this year, actually. Subscribe and like!
