Top 10 SnowRunner best trucks for Season 11: Lights & Cameras

Here are my top 10 best trucks for Season 11: Lights & Cameras, the penultimate phase of the Year 3 Pass, which is set in snowy Scandinavia.

As we cruise towards Season 12, the last and final DLC of the Year 3 Pass, I thought it was time to finally list my top 10 best trucks for Season 11. The ones I found most enjoyable for delivering cargo in the two new Scandinavian maps.

Mountain Ridge and By the Lake – as the two part-mud, part-snow maps are known – may look familiar to those who have played other areas. Asset reuse, I see you. Yet it is a map that grows on you like the moss on those weather-hardened trees.

Working for a film studio, environmental services and the local ski resort, the types of delivery you need to do are varied and range far and wide. Movie trailers, construction rigs, water, train tracks, airplane fuselage and more, Season 11 has much to do though little we have never seen before.

As with other large maps where a garage only lives in one of them, coupled with a lack of fuel stations in By the Lake, you will be thankful for trucks with a good range, versatility and fuel efficiency. The terrain can also catch you out, with some areas erring on unforgiving, slow and tippy.

As such, here are my top 10 best trucks for Season 11 I think you may also enjoy using. You know the drill, let me know your recommendations in the comments. Also, kindly subscribe and like. Black screen, elevator ding and text time!

1) Mack Defense M917

Released alongside the Kenworth 963 in Season 10, it was and still is easy to overlook the Mack Defense M917. Nor does it help that there are quite a few similar trucks that are basically as versatile. Except I found myself drawn to this eight-wheeler.

For all but the biggest cargo loads, the Mack Defense M917 can more than hold its own. Pulling the movie trailer up steep paths and across thick snow like a mountain goat, it just works. Even better, that roof supplies addon gives greater peace of mind for longer tasks, of which there are many.

2) Burlak 6×6

New to Season 11, we have the Russian Burlak 6×6. For those craving speed, look elsewhere. This fat scout will get where it needs to go, thanks to big off-roading tyres and traction aplenty, but it will do so at its own near-glacial pace – even slower if you add weight behind it.

Yes, for such a big scout it does have its feeble moments though this is partly offset by the fact it can pull both scout-sized and larger, heavier trailers. For those exploration based tasks, however, and delivering the prototype exploration unit it does the job nicely.

3) Pacific P512 PF

Number three is my wildcard choice, the Pacific P512 PF. The lack of a fuel and repair addon on the roof does limit its usefulness, as does that 200-litre fuel capacity. Yet Scandinavian terrain bodes well for a powerful truck that has special tyres with a unique mud and snow bonus.

Diff Lock is not even needed a lot of the time and when you do use it progress is brisk. Highrange can take you pretty far, too, all while being thoroughly enjoyable to drive. So when you inevitably run out of fuel somewhere in deepest, darkest Scandinavia, at least it was fun while it lasted.

4) Zikz 605R

Now, Season 11 can catch you out if you are careless. As such, you will be pleased you brought all the muscle for the construction rig and numerous big cargo deliveries. With the Zikz 605R, you worry less about route planning and more about lugging those huge time-saving trailers.

Knowing the challenge to get the Zikz 605R, it is also nice to make more reasons to use it. Personally, I enjoy its slow, trundling nature and thunderous engine. For Season 11’s long and often boggy drives, the Zikz 605R can be a great, if sometimes overkill, companion.

5) DAN 96320

Next on my SnowRunner best trucks for Season 11 list is a truck I mention a lot. The DAN 96320 may seem slow, but over difficult terrain it covers ground better than many faster-on-paper trucks. Stability is also top-notch, which can come in handy if you make a wrong turn.

As with the larger Kolobs though not to the same extent, Mr DAN is limited in the addons department. Even that new hybrid thingy does not really help the cause, but for basic cargo lugging or crane rescue missions it will only let you down if you drive like an idiot.

6) Tayga 6436

Now we come to the Tayga King AKA the Tayga 6436. Given that it is found in a fairly accessible Russian field, as opposed to the near-endless task list of the less effective Tayga 6455B, I am more inclined to recommend the day-one SnowRunner veteran.

Even now, it has decent speed, agility and can go far given that Season 11 terrain is not usually the most testing. From basic cargo deliveries and scouting to those movie trailers or even retrieving the airplane fuselage and train tracks, the Tayga King is royally impressive.

For a slightly more fun and old-school SnowRunner approach, slap on the highrange gearbox and let good-old fashioned speed and brute force prevail.

7) Derry Special 15C-177

Want another brute force option but love firefighting paintjobs? The Derry Special 15C-177 is for you. Huge torque, big wheels, a decent selection of addons and an involving Diff-Lock-prone drive make Season 11: Lights & Cameras a good home for it.

Obviously, I would not take it to some of the tiniest, snakiest pathways. The turning circle is sub-optimal. However, these are relatively few and far between for most tasks, allowing the rather long and fat Derry Special 15C-177 to do its thing.

8) Zikz 612H

Really, Ben? Another powerhouse. Well, Season 11 has a lot of stuff to do with numerous cargo items and so I suspect that, by the end, you may just want to blitz it. For that, few trucks are as reliable as the Zikz 612H and its unique tyre bonus.

At launch it needed some love. Nowadays, however, it is a top-tier, go-anywhere and do-anything trucking mudlord. Slow, yet highly effective, there is little that will give it any trouble. And that, for me, is highly satisfying.

9) International Loadstar 1700

My penultimate choice is one many scouts could fulfil, particularly the Ford F 750 or Burlak 6×6. Or even some weaker scouts if you have that new Jack of All Treads tyre pack. Yet none of those bring about that same nostalgic vibe as the International Loadstar 1700 from launch.

It is a bit scatty to drive sometimes and, like all scouts, deep mud and snow will grind proceedings to a halt and Mr Winch will need to be called. But its otherwise plucky nature, decent speed, long range fuel capacity and dependability did me proud for scouting and exploration.

10) Voron AE-4380

Last but not least for my best trucks for Season 11 guide, the Voron AE-4380. Diff Lock and AWD always-on with oodles of power and speed, this is a great truck for any map – particularly sizeable Scandinavia. Even better, you can actually find it for free in the second map, which saves spending credits.

This particular Voron is unable to fit roof supplies nor can it have a cargo bed and crane, which can be useful for those garbage recycling tasks. Though it does make up for reduced versatility with performance, stability and off-road brilliance.

As with the Tayga 6436, a highrange gearbox can work in Scandinavia for speedier deliveries and the distance it can cover using its 250-litre capacity is substantial, thanks to fairly good fuel efficiency. In short, this SnowRunner old-timer has still got what it takes.

And that is it for my top 10 best trucks for Season 11: Lights & Cameras. Be sure to like, subscribe and join me for my next video, which should be my Season 11 review. Then onto Season 12: name to be confirmed we go.
